From 20th April 2025 there will be changes to the Devon bus network. Stagecoach are making changes to their services to improve reliability and punctuality, and there are also some improvements to services funded by Devon County Council using HM Government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding. Voters in last week's referendum have voted "yes" to the Willand Neighbourhood Plan. The Plan will now be adopted by Mid Devon District Council and used to decide planning applications in the Parish. For more details of the vote see the weblink: Willand Neighbourhood Plan - MIDDEVON.GOV.UK

The Parish Council has had some new play, fitness and trim trail equipment installed in its play areas. Several items have been added to Orchard Way, including an accessible bowl swing to replace the old worn ladder, an adult multi gym and four pieces of trim trail equipment – parallel bars, chin ups, ladder walk and pole climb. Somerset Sight is a charity based in Taunton, Somerset, supporting and advising blind and partially sighted people throughout Somerset and the County borders.  One of the ways they do this is by a mobile advisory service which visits over 28 places in Somerset and now visits Axminster, Cullompton, Honiton and Tiverton, with kind permission of Devon In Sight charity.  They will be at Tesco’s in Cullompton on the 4th February and the 8th April, between 10.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m...

Dog Fouling

The Parish Council has recently received reports of increased dog fouling in Gables Road, Jaycroft and the Church Footpath. Mid Devon District Council is the enforcing authority and the Parish Council is working with them to address the issue.
