Willand Parish has developed a Neighbourhood Plan for its area. This allows Willand to set out land use planning policies and a strategy for how the area should change (or not) in the future. These have to conform with the strategic planning policies set by Mid Devon District Council’s Local Plan and will have considerable weight in the planning process for Willand. The final plan has been developed in thorough consultation with the village, and independent scrutiny. A referendum will now take place on Thursday 27th February 2025, where all electors in the Village will have their chance to vote on whether the plan should be adopted.
