Do you have a project or an initiative that needs funding?

Do you have a  project or an initiative that needs funding?

Will your project/proposals make a positive difference to the local communities of Willand, Halberton and/or the surrounding area?

If you’ve answered yes to both these questions the Devon Green Energy Community Fund may be able to help.

Acorn Bioenergy has launched a community benefit fund with the aim of bringing positive benefits to local areas hosting their facilities. Up to £20,000 is available annually for a period of 25 years for projects that will make a positive difference to the local area. The fund is index-linked which means that over £500,000 could be used to help local communities.

Funding decisions are made by people who live locally and know and understand the area, helping ensure that support goes to projects and initiatives that will have a  meaningful and positive impact on our communities.

The first round of funding is now open, with a deadline of the 30th November to submit your grant application. But don’t worry, if you’re not ready yet there will be more opportunities to apply; just keep looking out for details of the next round of funding. Any funds not spent will automatically roll forward to be included with the next funding round, ensuring no loss of funds.
